Howl

"Howl" is a poem written by Allen Ginsberg back in 1955 which was made into a book with other collected Ginsberg poems. Considered to be one of the great poems from the beat generation. At the time it went through a lot of scrutiny for being obscene to the readers and even went to court. Now Howl has been made into movie, a movie i can't wait to see. The trailer seems to give a good sense of what to expect- a captivating look into Ginsbergs life at the time, and peoples ideals during the 1950's. James Franco plays the younger Ginsberg quite well, looking almost like him, acting like him, and almost sounding like him. He did the same for the movie James Dean. From what i've read the LSD inspired animation is well done.

Check out James' other movie coming out soon, 127 Hours
